Unique Commanders

Unique commanders are noted by a yellow ribbon in the top right corner of their portrait.

Unique commanders are a special sub-set of commanders. They perform the same functionality as standard commanders, but have additional bonuses or traits that make them different from their counterparts that can be recruited for free. Unique commanders are typically earned via in-game participation; whether that is as a reward for a set of event missions or at the end of a lengthy campaign depends on the commander. The current list of unique commanders and their bonuses are listed below.

Yamamoto Isoroku
Talent_icon_first_blood.png The First Blood talent grants Yamamoto Isoroku's ship +1 charge to each mounted consumable upon earning the "First Blood" achievement. Awarded upon completion of the Yamamoto Isoroku campaign.
Talent_icon_warrior.png The Second Wind talent activates upon earning a "Kraken Unleashed!" achievement with Yamamoto Isoroku. After activation, the ship's main battery gun reload time is reduced by -34%, its torpedo reload speed and squadron reload time is reduced by -16%, and it steadily repairs up to 48% of its health over 120 seconds. The healing functions identically to the Repair Party consumable.
icon_ExpertMarksman_dark.png Master Marksman replaces Expert Marksman, and improves turret rotation speed by +3.0 deg/s for guns with a caliber of up to 139 mm and 1.0 deg/s for guns with a caliber above 139 mm (normally +2.5 and 0.7, respectively).
icon_PreventativeMaintenance_dark.png Expert Maintenance replaces Preventative Maintenance, and reduces the the risk of incapacitation of modules by -45% (normally -30%).

  • -20% to the main battery reload time.
  • -20% to plane service time.
  • -10% to torpedo reload time.
Awarded upon completion of the "Hit Hard! Hit Fast! Hit Often" campaign.
Talent_icon_double_kill.png The Hit Fast! talent activates after receiving the Double Strike achievement with William Halsey. The ship under Halsey's command gets -10% to base detection radius, which can accumulate if a player receives the achievement multiple times during a battle.
