Alberto di Giussano — Italian Tier IV cruiser.
In response to the French construction of modern light cruisers and large destroyers, the Italians designed cruisers named after the Italian Renaissance condottieri. Alberto di Giussano was laid down first in 1928. The ship served in the Mediterranean Sea, participated in the Spanish Civil War, and was deployed at the Battle of Punta Stilo at the beginning of World War II. She laid minefields and escorted convoys. In 1941, while transporting gasoline to North Africa, she was intercepted by British destroyers and sunk by torpedoes.

Player Opinion
Pros:
- Some of the best penetration guns at this tier for a cruiser
- Fast reloading torpedoes .
- Torpedoes have good range and decent damage.
- Quite fast and agile for its tier placement.
Cons:
- Slow main guns, giving it a very low rate of fire
- Torpedoes are the slowest of its tier.
- Only two torpedo tubes per side.
- Lack of consumables such as hydro that become available on other boats at this tier
- A single catapult fighter isn't much of a deterrent.
Research
- Hull: Upgrade to Hull (B). Research of this module unlocks progression to Tier V Montecuccoli.
- Gun Fire Control System: Upgrade to SDT 4 mod.2 for an extra 10% range on the main battery.
