Doubloon Economy

Jump to: navigation, search

In World of Warships, there are two main types of currency. Credits, also commonly referred to as silver, are the standard currency and can be earned in battle by doing doing things such as damaging the enemy, spotting, capturing bases, etc. It is also rewarded for completing missions. In addition to credits, there are Doubloons. Doubloons are World of Warships's version of Gold from World of Tanks and Warplanes. Doubloons are acquired buy purchase with actual money or by participating in events and contests. The reason Doubloons are not official Gold yet is because the full integration of account linking of all 3 games is not yet complete. Doubloons may be used for many things. They can be converted into credits. They can also convert XP you have on elite ships (elite ships are ships that have all modules researched, premium ships are elite by default) to free XP, which is usable on all ships. Doubloons are used to buy most premium ships, although currently the Ishizuchi is not available for purchase in game; it must be bought with real money in the premium shop. Doubloons can buy premium time, which provides a 50% increase in credit and XP earnings as well as a special port with a unique soundtrack. They also can help with increasing commander training. Doubloons must be used to dismount equipment from a ship. If you are running out of port slots or room in your commander reserve, you will need to use Doubloons expand them. Doubloons can also be used to purchase special consumables.
