[[Ship:|]] — N/A special premium Tier N/A.
The last battleship laid down for the Imperial Russian Navy. Developed from the Imperatritsa Mariya-class battleships, she inherited high firepower from her predecessors. Experience gained in building early Russian dreadnoughts helped to significantly reinforce the ship's armor which received an advanced arrangement.

Player Opinion
Performance
Imperator Nikolai I is basically a Wyoming that lacks AA in exchange for increased main battery accuracy. The dispersion of the guns despite having 3 barrels is about the same as Wyoming, meaning more accurate guns. However, Nikolai loses easily to destroyers and aircraft due to bad maneuverability, bad AA and the agonizing reload time of the guns. Nikolai also has a very large citadel that extends up to the bottom of the secondary gun batteries. In exchange, she has easy time with cruiser HE.
LittleWhiteMouse's Premium Ship Review: Imperator Nikolai I from the NA forumsPros:
- Twelve 12-inch guns to use against any threat.
- Powerful secondary batteries.
- Armor is more than enough to shrug off other 12-inch shells and most HE shells.
- Accurate triple-barreled gun turrets.
Cons:
- Almost nonexistent AA, expect to be a target for planes.
- Lacking speed and agility.
- While the armor is good for lower tiers, it fails to protect against larger caliber guns.
- Reload time of the guns is slow, 35 seconds to be exact.
- Torpedo protection is poor, making you an easy target for destroyers.
- Large citadel (even if it is hard to damage).

Camouflage
As a premium ship, Imperator Nikolai I comes included with Type 9 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, and increases the amount of experience she earns.
