Hits to citadel - One ribbon is awarded per fully penetrating hit to the citadel area of a target ship. Note that shells penetrating the citadel can also over-penetrate.
Incapacitations - One ribbon is awarded when a module (Engine, Rudder, etc.) is destroyed on an enemy ship. Modules will regain hit points over time and return to full functionality.
Set on fire - One ribbon is awarded per
fire set on an enemy ship. The ribbon is still awarded if the fire is set during the immunity period of the target's Damage Control Party.
Target hits - One ribbon is awarded per hit obtained with guns qualifying as secondary armament.
Shot down - One ribbon is awarded per aircraft destroyed regardless of type.
Target hits - One ribbon is awarded per torpedo hit.
Caused flooding - One ribbon is awarded per torpedo hit which causes
flooding. Ramming an enemy also has the potential to cause flooding and award this ribbon.

Assisted in capture - One ribbon is awarded for assisting in the conversion of a capture point, but not having been the only player to help convert the point.
Captured - One ribbon is awarded for being the only player to convert a capture point.
Suppressed - One ribbon is awarded for obtaining the last hit which suppresses a shore installation.
