Warspite — British special premium Tier VI battleship.
HMS Warspite joined the Fifth Battleship Squadron in 1915. She participated in the Battle of Jutland and was the flagship of the Mediterranean Fleet after World War I. With the start of World War II, the ship was transferred to the Home Fleet and participated in the Battle of Narvik, where she sank a German destroyer. In 1940, she returned to the Mediterranean Sea and managed to hit the flagship of the Italian fleet during the Battle of Punta Stilo. In 1941, the ship sank two Italian heavy cruisers during the Battle of Cape Matapan. In 1943–1944, the battleship covered the landing of Allied troops in Sicily and Normandy as part of the Eastern Fleet.

Player Opinion
Performance
An archetypal battleship, the Warspite presents all what a battleship was meant to do as one of the first superdreadnoughts sent to sea. This "Grand Old Lady" can slug it out at medium range, doing massive damage with its 15 inch guns while dodging torpedoes and shrugging off gunfire. The guns marginally outrange the 14 inch guns on the New Mexico and although her US counterpart can increase her range and her Japanese counterpart having the highest range out of all three of them in their tier, this ship has a more narrower shell dispersion than either two. Her defensive armament is decidedly average, with better secondary batteries than the New Mexico and better AA batteries than the Fuso. This is a warship that belongs just behind the cruisers in a battle line, providing fire support where needed and taking pressure off of less sturdy allies and in a tier 6 max battle, a skilled player in a Warspite can have a huge impact in the match if circumstances are with them.
Pros:
- Biggest main guns of any ship at her tier
- Good torpedo bulge; torpedoes tend to do about half their rated damage to her
- Excellent turning radius
- Stealthy for a tier-6 battleship; if the circumstances are ideal Warspite can fire off her salvo first, potentially rattling the enemy
- Stock Damage control party takes 81 seconds to cooldown like cruiser, much faster than 120s in most of other battleships
- Repair Party can be able to repair 60% of the damage to its sections (except the citadel), you will get the HP back more than other battleships
- Is a reasonable credit maker
- Surprisingly tight shell grouping next to New Mexico
- Reasonably fast for a dreadnought
- Secondaries have much higher accuracy and shorter reload time in comparison to Japanese counterparts, and they fire HE making them excellent against destroyers and good at setting other ships on fire.
- Secondaries have 5km base range in comparison to the 4km base range of its counterparts
Cons:
- Takes a rather long time to reach top speed
- Only eight main guns so every shot matters even more
- Slow shell velocity
- Citadel point is slightly over the waterline.
- Short firing range of 16.3km; cannot mount range upgrade mod like US counterpart to increase range
- Poor rudder shift time
- Very long turret traverse time of 72 seconds means she can't effectively respond to rapid situations, though expert marksman mitigates this slightly
- Fairly easy to catch on fire
- As of the current iteration, Warspite sits slightly above the waterline which means a hail of fire WILL deal very heavy damage
- Despite having a fast cooldown Damage control party. It actives for 5 seconds like cruiser too. (most of battleship active for 10 seconds)
