?== WoT XBOX Wiki not up to date ==

?It has come to my attention that the wiki for WoT XBOX is missing a lot of tanks. For example there are no info on any of the Heavy tanks leading up to the Maus. Also the crews info for the WoT XBOX has been deleted due to spam?+Hello all, Isoruku_Yamamoto here. I've been trying to figure out how to get proper moderation rights or help for a while now, can any of you guys help me out? It's about the WoWP wiki. ?:Missing tanks on the XBOX vehicle lists are sadly out of my control, but I'll ask to have those tanks added. The Crew (XBOX) page does not seem to have a deletion record at all, but it's merely a straight copy-paste from the PC page at this point. ?== WoT XBOX Wiki added new map templates ==+==Update map list==
+Can we get the wiki maps list updated to show only current maps in game on one list and removed maps on a separate list please, so it's easier to see which maps are in play?

?I added new Xbox-specific map templates based on the PC versions and updated Maps (XBOX) to use them. This allowed me to update maps to reflect that they now have Urban camo and also allowed me to add in the Pacific Island map.+==Not Sure Where To Put This==

+Has had the original article edited in a form of vandalism to show an extreme bias concerning the tank. This is not what I would expect to read when referring to the WIKI to check out a tank. If this is not the place to put this, can someone tell me where to report it? -Talen1066

?Also, I accidentally created a Pacific Island (XBOX) page that can be deleted since it isn't used and won't likely ever be used. (The template image naming scheme is such that it made more sense to just create Pacific Island than to try to make the Xbox named page work.)+==Honk==

?That being said, the reason I didn't modify the PC versions was primarily because they are protected. This is probably for a good reason and if so then it would probably make sense to protect the Xbox versions as well. The pages are Template:MapData (XBOX), Template:Map (XBOX), and Template:Map Detail (XBOX). If they don't need protection for now then that's fine. I just wanted to raise the issue.+vcxvxcvcxv

?World of Tanks: Xbox currently has 1.6.1 as the Game Version and links to the (non-existant) 1.6.1 Update notes page. I created the Changelog: World of Tanks (XBOX) Patch 1.8.0 page earlier from the release notes for it, but someone who has the privileges needed to update XBOX needs to update the wiki link there to reflect that the Game Version is now 1.8.0 and to have it link to the 1.8.0 changelog. ?== Pro/Con Character Limits - 10 March 2015 ==+Can someone fix this? djbrianuk:eu (talk) 23:00, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
?I´m completely against it. The 125 limit is even less than twitter. I never had any problem with the wiki page, reading it on my 4 inch mobile device. Before commiting such changes I would prefer the staff to try in advance to shorten the Pro/Con lists manually. I was wondering the last days, why so many lists where cut off in at the end. Now I noticed the announcement. Please reverse this. Oh and please, don´t argue again over a whole page. Please keep it short and simple, why you needed to commit this automatic censorship. --warfair4:eu (talk) 20:56, 15 March 2015 (UTC)+
?
+
?:Because we are sick and tired of people not being able keep the pros/cons short and simple, quite literally in every sense of that phrase. Limiting pros and cons to 5 points each obviously isn't enough as people started stacking multiple arguments into single points, so here's a fool-proof measure that would be enough to cover most cases describing the good and bad parts of any tank. If you wish to elaborate on the strengths and weaknesses please do so in the "Performance" section. --Haswell:na (talk) 22:29, 15 March 2015 (UTC)+
?
+
?::Well, so the people are the problem? Come on... So, actually the people want more characters. I don´t want to elaborate about the strenghts/weaknesses. I just want to bring into focus, that there might be a good reason, why the people want to write so much about the tanks. Personally I find this a good idea. I care less about e.g. historical stuff. But this is only my opinion, this will differ for others extremly. But please, stop this shortening in any way. There can be other ways to deal with this. The pro/con section is for me the most valuable section --> its from the people! Personal experience! *sigh* --warfair4:eu (talk) 23:45, 15 March 2015 (UTC)+

?:::Haswell was not very diplomatic about this. As this was my decision, and was taken on my initiative, I suppose really in the end it falls on me to try and justify this action, even though it was ultimately done with the tacit approval of the entire admin group.+

?:::You'll remember that at one point, we had part of this discussion previously. When I decided to limit pros/cons to 5 bullets each, it was done with the clear understanding that pros/cons were becoming ponderous, and were collapsing under their weight. They no longer succeeded in serving as summaries to a given vehicle, as often more words would be written in pros/cons than in the rest of player opinion combined. This was not an ideal state of affairs, and I decided that it was necessary to begin enforcing the actual 'highlight' nature of pros/cons.+== Several Tank articles broken ==
+Seems several tank articles are broken(tank data does not display, no picture, all the article information renders on a narrow slot on right of the page), and had broken links in the relevant tanks section, such as the Pz. III. Since I cannot move pages, I used redirects.
+--Snake_Keeper:eu (talk) 11:01, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

?:::You'll also recall that, in the course of that discussion, I showed that it was possible for pros/cons to work successfully while restricted to 5 bullets each. While I'm not sure if you accepted my reasoning, or simply gave up in exhaustion reading my wall of text, I hoped you had understood why I enacted that policy at the time. I had hoped that pros/cons would begin to finally serve their intended purpose (or intended as it is in the interpretation applied by the current wiki staff), only to find that people would still write incredibly long bullet points, even if only 5 of them would be displayed.+:Yeah, found quite a few german ones:

?:::So, while I had limited pros/cons in one dimension, it has become clear to me that if I truly wished to enforce the nature of pros/cons, I had to also limit the length of each bullet. This is what I have now done.+::Whole wiki suffers from this, FCM 36 Pak 40 for instance is broken due to the actual page being named FCM_36PAK40... there seems to be no standard in the page names, nor is the actual information (modules etc) reachable for normal editors. ?:::You have stated: "There can be other ways to deal with this. The pro/con section is for me the most valuable section --> its from the people! Personal experience!" +== Wargaming wiki Mediawiki ==

?:::However, I do not agree. That was never the purpose of pros/cons. That is, as Haswell has stated, the intended purpose of the performance and research sections, which lie directly below it. ?:::To me, restricting pros/cons is a necessary evil required to not only reduce drive-by editing that requires subsequent moderation, but to also encourage players to actually go to performance to elaborate properly on the nature of a vehicle.+== Please update game seen/unseen logic, bigger maps and other ideas. ==

?:::I hope that this has helped to enlighten you as to the purpose of my choice. +Seen and hidden logic should be upgraded to a multi level accuracy model. This would push more real battle where you have to get in touch with the enemy in order to fight and give less power to lighter tank to spot enemies by just wandering around.
? +Please allow bigger maps so that multiple points of fight and the related strategies are available .
?:::ForcestormX:na (talk) 04:56, 19 March 2015 (UTC)+No map edges could be also a great option since no safe border will be available and the teams would be focus to complete missions instead of killing all the enemies.
? +At last I think that doing battles without knowing all the enemies tank list would be more interesting and realistic (always like great battle round).
?::::Without getting into the pros/cons of limiting the pros/cons and their length this had led to broken sentences. Currently the Tiger P article says "Frontal armor is tough, but relies on thickness rather than slope, making it very vulnerable to gold shells. Furthermore, it" & "Great frontal hull armor, hard to penetrate even for higher tiers at a distance and often a nightmare for lower tiers even at". Suggest you undo this change until the actual sections are correctly formatted so they don't break when this is applied. djbrianuk:eu (talk) 20:56, 7 April 2015 (UTC)+Giving less abilities to crews against more optional to be installed on a tanks would give more uneven battles.
