The T14 is an American tier 5 premium heavy tank.
Developed between May 1942 and May 1943. Two prototypes were manufactured and tested. However, mass production was canceled, and the T14 never became more than an experimental vehicle.
Classified as a heavy tank, the T14 is actually a stock, up-armored, M4 Sherman. It was part of a failed joint project between the United States and the United Kingdom. While it is the weakest heavy tank for its tier, it is quite capable of making short work of any medium tank at or below its tier. It has good speed for a heavy tank, although it is slow to accelerate and climb in hilly terrain. In addition, it has thick side skirts like the T1 Heavy Tank, and can thus effectively absorb HE damage on the sides. Its primary weakness is the gun penetration as it can struggle to damage heavy tanks its tier or above. It does get a good rate of fire, and it can lay out damage quickly. It is thus a very good support tank - while you do not have the armor to take hits directly, it can help heavier armored allies. However the T14 has more favorable MatchMaking since patch 7.2, so difficult opponents should appear less often. It is most effective when in a hull down position, as, like most American heavy tanks, it has great turret armor. It is comparable to the M4A2E4 Sherman medium tank, but has less frontal hull armor in exchange for thicker side and turret armor.

Performance
In comparison with the M4 Sherman, the T14 offers a very nice armor upgrade in the sides, rear, and especially in the turret. In comparison with the T1 Heavy Tank, the front armor is a good deal weaker. . Therefore, the T14 should always use a hull down position whenever the terrain allows for it. Its main weakness is that its gun has low pen for its class. The low pen may force you you to use HE shells, but its good RoF makes up for it somewhat. Luckily you won't face any tier 7's, so as long as you aim well, you can deal out damage fairly. The T14 should generally operate as a support tank. Stay back behind heavily-armored friendlies and fire off shots.
The T14 has an incredibly powerful engine for its tier, giving it awesome acceleration and great climbing speed for hills. The speed and maneuverability are close to the T1 Heavy Tank. Use the speed to get to allies in need, not for brawling. However, it has awful traverse speed, leading to a very large turning circle. Keep away from fast mediums that can dart around you and shoot your weak points. Also, don't expect to dodge shells with the T14 as it wallows across the battlefield.
The turret armor has a thick gun mantle coupled with thick armor underneath, so utilize hull-down tactics whenever possible. The armor is sufficient enough to soak up many equal tier shots, but may falter against TDs. The slopes on the armor are very nice as well, giving tier 5's and 6's a hard time to penetrate if used right, and impregnable to tier 4's. The T14's tracks are also very large, and can absorb multiple shots from lower-tiered guns, as well as near-misses by arty. The armor relies mostly on slope rather than thickness. While this can bounce off HE easily, higher-tiered opponents can shred through reliably, so stay careful.
The T14 is not without weak spots, however. Its ammo rack is very susceptible to damage from artillery shells, and the front armor's machine gun port is flat and without slopes, allowing even tier 3's to penetrate easily if they have a shot. Also, the side of the tank is rather large, making it a great target while flanked. Keeping the front of the tank well-angled and towards the enemy is required or they will make short work of this tank.
Note that owners of the T14 tend to have strong feelings about it - they either love this tank or hate it, with few in between. It isn't recommended for novice tankers due to its learning curve. Prior experience with American mediums and heavies can help deal with this. It is essential to know hull down tactics.

Historical Info
The pilot model was not produced by 1944, by which time the British Churchill I tank had been in service for two years and was greatly improved over its initial model. The T14 project never came to fruition. US efforts of working on a similarly well-armored tank with a higher speed for use other than as infantry support led to the T20 tank.
Design and development
In 1941, the head of the United States Ordnance Department traveled to Britain to discuss designing a well-armed and armored combat vehicle, one that was stronger than the British Tank, Infantry, Mk IV (A22) "Churchill", then under production.
The tank design would have a 6 pdr or a US 75 mm gun sharing many parts with the M4 Sherman, but with armor twice as thick as that of the M4 at 100 mm thick.
The British initially ordered 8,500 in 1942. Testing of the pilot model, which was completed in 1944, showed the vehicle to be much too heavy for practical use. By this time, the British Army was already using the Churchill and further production of the T14 was halted. Only 2 were built; one tested in the US and the other sent to Britain.[2] The example sent to Britain survives in the Bovington tank museum.
