The Type 89 I-Go/Chi-Ro is a Japanese tier 2 medium tank.
Developed in 1929. The first Japanese tank with a diesel engine, which served as the main tank in the early 1930s. By the beginning of World War II, the design of the vehicle was already obsolete; however, it was widely used until the end of the war. Vehicles of this type last saw action in 1944 in the Philippines.
The Type 89 I-Go/Chi-Ro marks the end of its Japanese medium line.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Rate of fire and damage per shot comparable to mediums 3 tiers higher
- Very high gun depression
- Rather high amount of hitpoints
- Overmatch from the relatively large shell helps offset the low penetration
Cons:
- Poor mobility
- Armor is near useless
- Very low penetration
- Very slow shells make hitting fast low tiers difficult
