Specifically, the mismatch in crew values caused by commander's 10% crew skill bonus. Outside of a crew of 1 commander only, 100% crew is a fiction. The client values, given for 100% crew, will normally be taken into battle with 110% crew skill members aside from specific functions, causing their actual performance to deviate from the expected client value. These differences are taken into account in tooltip boxes.

3950

The 7TP is a Polish tier 2 light tank.

The 7TP was a modification of the Vickers Mk.E British tank produced in Poland under license. Unlike the original, this vehicle featured a more powerful PZInż. 235 engine (Saurer VBLDb), an improved turret, and better armament. The first tanks manufactured had two turrets. In 1935, the Swedish Bofors company signed an agreement to produce a turret and gun that were intended for a single-turret model of the tank. The first prototype of the single-turret 7TP tank underwent trials in February 1937 and mass production started. A total of 110 vehicles were built during September 1939.

A good, solid light tank that's more of a sniper than a scout, the 7TP has a top gun with reasonable accuracy and excellent penetration and damage, enough armor to attenuate some autocannon and HE rounds, and good concealment.

The 7TP leads to the 10TP.

Player Opinion

Pros and Cons

Pros:

- Great gun depression, few Tier II's have better

- Excellent penetration, AP rounds can punch through all Tier II's and most Tier III's

- Great DPM for Tier II

- Very good concealment

- Good acceleration and reverse speed

- Decent view and signal ranges

Cons:

- Poor armor

- Mediocre top speed

- Stock grind can be painful

Performance

This tank is best played as a sniper or providing second line fire support. Never drive out into the open, you have poor armor and a long body and can be shredded in seconds. If angled a few bounces can occur thanks to your large treads, but don't rely on them. Use terrain to your advantage as you have an excellent 12 degrees of gun depression. When spotted always get behind cover ASAP. Don't stick around to fire off that one last shot. As soon as you see someone looking at you, run.

There's only one premium Polish light -- the TKS z n.k.m. 20mm -- only the Driver can benefit from using the TKS as a perfect crew trainer. With the disparity of perk responsibilities between the two Commander positions it's probably best to have dedicated commanders for both tanks.

Early Research

- Research the PZInż.220A turret first for increased health, view range, traverse speed, and to add 3mm of armor

- Research the 40mm Działko czołgowe Dł.55 next for its excellent penetration and alpha

- Next research the PZInż. 155 engine for more acceleration

- Research the tracks for better hull traverse

- Pick up the last gun and research the 10TP to elite the tank, and don't forget to turn on Accelerated Crew Training

Documented Tank and Crew Builds

A Binocular Telescope is recommended; combined with Brothers in Arms, Recon, and Situational Awareness it can get your view range up to 403m.

Historical Info

The 7TP (siedmiotonowy polski - 7-tonne Polish) was a Polish light tank of the Second World War. It was developed from the British Vickers 6-ton. A standard tank of the Polish Army during the 1939 Invasion of Poland, its production never exceeded 150 vehicles. Its chassis was used as the base for the C7P artillery tractor.
