Grom — Pan‑European Tech Tree Tier VI Destroyer.

Grom and Błyskawica entered service in 1937, joining the ranks of the strongest European destroyers of the time. With the outbreak of World War II, the destroyers broke through the Baltic to Britain. After the fall of Poland, the ships joined the Royal Navy and aided in the Norwegian campaign. On May 4, 1940, one of Grom's torpedoes was detonated by a bomb, sinking the ship in minutes.

Pros:

  • Good HE damage, penetration and fire chance
  • High damage potential per salvo due thanks to the high number of guns
  • Access to the Smoke GeneratorLegends_Smoke_Generator.png, which is uncommon for a Pan-European destroyer, and an improved version of the Defensive AA FireLegends_DFAA.pngconsumable



Cons:

  • No access to AP shells
  • Weak torpedoes with short range and low damage; they do not have any improvement over Stord's
  • Weaker version of the Engine BoostLegends_Engine_Boost.pngconsumable with only a 5% bonus instead of the standard 8%
