Indianapolis B — American Premium Tier VI Cruiser.

One of the last cruisers in the U.S Navy that was subject to the Washington Naval Treaty. Compared with her predecessors, the ship featured heavier armor, which remarkably improved her survivability. By the end of the World War II, the cruiser's armament was reinforced with numerous automatic AA guns.

Player Opinion


Pros:

  • Very long ranged surveillance radar; longer range than either Atlanta or Baltimore
  • Strong gun ballistics with hard hitting shells that other cruisers and broadside battleships should be wary of
  • Well armored bow; can reliably bounce other cruiser and destroyer shells when angled.



Cons:

  • Large target with terrible broadside, zero torpedo protection and a prominent citadel
  • Longest reload of all Tier VI cruisers
  • Guns are the same triple turrets from Pensacola
