Developed from the legendary Novik-class destroyers, Izyaslav was one of the largest and most powerful destroyers in the Russian Navy. Compared with her predecessors, she was armed with more powerful artillery. Izyaslav was surpassed in torpedo caliber by foreign-built destroyers of her time, which was partly compensated by the number of torpedoes that could be launched in a broadside salvo.

- Torpedoes deal mediocre damage and have poor range
Performance
Changes
Destroyer - Izyaslav- Gun range improved from 8.5 km to 9.4 km for both hulls.
- Rudder-shift time decreased from 3.8 s to 3.4 s for hull A, and from 2.7 s to 2.4 s for hull B.
- Decreased chances for Steering Gears and Engine modules to be critically hit.
- Default torpedo speed increased from 51 kts to 56 kts; upgraded torpedoes—from 52 kts to 57 kts.
- Damage Control Party duration increased from 5 s to 10 s.
