L. Katsonis — Pan‑European Tech Tree Tier VIII Destroyer.

In the late 1920s, Greek Navy leaders debated building more conventional ships versus fewer but stronger ones. In 1929, Greece chose the first approach, ordering four simplified destroyers from Italy. An alternative could have been ordering a pair of large ships with 5.5-inch (140 mm) guns, like the British E-class cruiser. Lambros Katsonis was named after a Greek liberation leader.
