The Prinz Eitel Friedrich was a Mackensen-class battlecruiser laid down for the German Navy during World War I.

• The construction of Prinz Eitel Friedrich and the Mackensen-class led to HMS Hood’s construction.
• A new design with larger guns and a good top speed, she went without the famous turtleback armor of most German warships.
• She was named after one of Kaiser Wilhelm II’s sons.
• Parts from the 35cm guns were used to create the famous long-range Paris Gun.
• The in-game version of Prinz Eitel Friedrich is a mix of her original design with a hypothetical 1941 refit, since the real-life ship was never completed and scrapped in 1921.
• With four twin-gun turrets in a conventional layout and long lines, she is a striking ship to behold—in the same manner as Hood or Kongo.
