Suzuya was built as a light cruiser. Her armor and equipment were on par with heavy cruisers, despite her being of a smaller size and displacement. The number of 155 mm main caliber guns was increased to 15 to compensate for the lower mass of the shells in comparison with the 203 mm main caliber guns of the Washington Naval Treaty cruisers.
Suzuya was first released as the final reward of the Limit Breaker campaign, which took place from April 12th to May 17th, 2021. The ship is now available in the store for 750 000 Global XP.

Cruiser - SuzuyaPros:
- Great fire starter and good DPM
- 155mm guns allow to penetrate 26mm effectively
- Good rudder shift
- Long torpedo range
- Good concealment
Cons:
- Armor is rather thin
- Weak AA defenses
- Turrets are poorly armored and have bad firing angles
- Slow turret traverse
- Limited torpedo firing arcs
