Player Opinion
Pros:
- Improved HE penetration for the main guns allows consistent damage against thicker plated ships.
- AP shells deal high damage and have great penetration for its gun caliber.
- Very good DPM.
- Heavy torpedo armament for high alpha strikes at short range.
Cons:
- Lighter bow plating than Yorck, leaving Weimar prone to overmatch by guns 229mm or larger.
- Short main battery range.
- Worse than average speed and rudder shift time.
- Vulnerable to air attacks.
- Poor gun ballistics.
- Does not have access to the 4th modification slot that all Tier VII ships have.
