A light cruiser that carries twleve 150mm guns. A variant of cruiser Yorck with a different artillery composition.

Weimar was released as a Tier VI premium ship available for 12 500 doubloons in the store on October 4th, 2021, but was removed from it relatively quickly due to its unexpected potential in battle. It was later moved to Tier VII and is now only available as a superprize in some containers.

Player Opinion

Cruiser - Weimar

Pros:

  • Improved HE penetration for the main guns allows consistent damage against thicker plated ships.
  • AP shells deal high damage and have great penetration for its gun caliber.
  • Very good DPM.
  • Heavy torpedo armament for high alpha strikes at short range.



Cons:

  • Lighter bow plating than Yorck, leaving Weimar prone to overmatch by guns 229mm or larger.
  • Short main battery range.
  • Worse than average speed and rudder shift time.
  • Vulnerable to air attacks.
  • Poor gun ballistics.
  • Does not have access to the 4th modification slot that all Tier VII ships have.
