Plane nations: France
French Air Force was formed in 1909 as the Service Aéronautique, a service arm of the French Armed Forces, then was made an independent military arm in 1934. They took part actively in the World War I and World War II. After Germany occupied France in 1940, national Air Force divided into two branches: Free French Air Force and Vichy French Air Force. In current form they exists since 1943.
