Ship Smasha — Pan-Asian promo premium Tier VIII destroyer.

Orks do not navigate the Warp. They need no Astronomican like pesky Umiez. Gork and Mork guide them to WAAAGH! They jump into Warp and then jump out of it, Gunz blazing. But not with this sleek little ship. Where did the Boyz get this one? Was it assembled from parts of some primordial space hulk? Or just found by chance in some forgotten nooks and crannies of the Galaxy? They don’t remember and they don’t care. It has always been there, the only ship you can talk to. You tell it where to go, and you go there. But you must be smart to do so. Not Mekboy smart. Not Weirdboy smart. Real smart.

Ship Smasha was first released for sale on 29 Oct 2021 in collaboration with Warhammer 40,000.

Player Opinion

Performance

Warning. The data presented in the AA Defense sidebar section may be incorrect.
For a graphic summary of ships Tiers VIII thru XI see LittleWhiteMouse's "Actual AA DPS".

Ship Smasha is reportedly a clone of Fenyang, which is very similar to IJN Akizuki.

Pros:

  • Powerful torpedoes.

Cons:

  • Torpedoes run too deep to strike anything but battleships and aircraft carriers.

Research

As a premium ship, Ship Smasha has no module upgrades to research.

Optimal Configuration

Upgrades

The recommended upgrades for Ship Smasha are:

Engine Boost Modification 1 Increases the action time of the Engine Boost and Emergency Engine Power consumables.: +50% action time. and Defensive AA Fire Modification 1 : +20% action time. / -10% cooldown time. (specials) are also justifiable in Slot 2.

Smoke Generator Modification 1 Increases the action time of the Smoke Generator, Short-Burst Smoke Generator, and Crawling Smoke Generator consumables, but reduces smoke screen duration. The effects are not applicable to the Exhaust Smoke Generator consumable.: +30% emission time. / -5% smoke cloud duration. (special) is reasonable in Slot 3.

In Slot 4, some commanders will prefer Steering Gears Modification 1 : -20% rudder shift time.. Submarine hunters will want Depth Charges Modification 1 +2 depth charges. as it triples (from 1 to 3) the number of charges (the number of depth bombs per charge remains unchanged).
