Special

ZF-6 — German special premium Tier IX destroyer.

After conquering France in 1940, the German Navy captured a small number of unfinished French ships. Among them were four Le Hardi-class destroyers, two of which were in the initial stages of construction—L'Opiniâtre and L'Aventurier. The German High Command planned to complete them with German weapons and use them for their own needs; however, the ships were not even launched until the end of the war.

ZF-6 was introduced as the Dockyard ship for Update 0.10.3 on 14 April 2021.

Player Opinion

Performance

Warning. The data presented in the AA Defense sidebar section may be incorrect.
Refer to the in-game Port screens for more useful data.

Pros:

  • Decent guns with excellent, perhaps too excellent, ballistics.
  • Excellent HE penetration
  • Improved AP penetration angles (same as USN cruisers)
  • Fast, hard-hitting torpedoes.
  • Decent AA - for a Tier IX destroyer.
  • A useful suite of consumables.
  • Very good concealment — 5.8km with the upgrade and the skill.

Cons:

Research

As a premium ship, ZF-6 has no upgrades to research.

Optimal Configuration

With ZF-6's small health pool, build first for survivability.

Upgrades

The recommended upgrades for ZF-6 are as follows:

In Slot 3, Torpedo Tubes Modification 1 +20% traverse speed of torpedo tubes. / −40% chance of critical damage to torpedo tubes. / +5% to the speed of shipborne torpedoes. is viable. ZF-6's fish are already quite swift, but the launcher twist and extra protection may be worth it. Main Battery Modification 2 : +15% to main battery traverse speed., while also viable, is the least useful of the three.

Commander Skills

'Inertial Fuse for HE Shells' would boost the HE penetration from 32mm to 40mm, but the loss of the already poor fire chance is an unwarranted trade-off. Consider 'Pyrotechnician' instead. Unless your play style is torpedo-centric, buff her consumables instead of the metal fish.

Consumables

ZF-6 equips the following consumables:

Camouflage

As a premium ship, ZF-6 comes with Default permanent camouflage and a set of permanent combat bonuses.

Signals

Note: Use of the Juliet Charlie signal makes detonation impossible.
