The AE Phase I is an American tier 9 premium heavy tank.
Developed from 1951. The advantage of four-track vehicles was the capability to continue moving when two tracks were damaged, as well as to mount a large-diameter turret race ring. After studying the project, Associated Engineers Inc. was requested to develop a second variant with another track drive system, one drive on each side. It existed only in blueprints.
The AE Phase I is the second tier 9 premium tank in the game the (after T-55A). The most distinctive feature of this tank is the four set of separate tracks (two on each sides), which can give you a vibes to certain classic RTS game. Although, despite its description, it only served as a cosmetic purposes.
However, the real "trump card" of AE Phase I is Unlimited (Free) Large Repair Kit consumeables, which is unique among the rank of reward tanks. Which, when combined with powerful gun and extremely strong turret armor, makes the AE Phase I a powerful foe to fight in a tier 9 or even tier 10 matches.
The AE Phase I is a Season 1 Frontline reward tank that can be exchanged with 15 honour points.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Good gun handling and excellent premium ammo penetration
- Excellent turret armor (has a cupola, but it's very small) and very well angled upper plate
- Great gun depression, ideal for hulldown positions
- Very good engine power and acceleration
- Comes with a Large Repair Kit with unlimited uses
Cons:
- The unique-looking tracks are merely cosmetic and leave the turret ring exposed
- Hull armor is overall poor, especially the rear
- Low DPM for its gun caliber and tier
- Subpar aim time and accuracy
- Lacks speed - forward speed is average, and reverse speed is poor
Performance
The AE Phase 1 does alot of things right: Its forward speed maybe on the low side, but it accelerates to that top speed very quickly and the traverse speed of the hull and turret are both excellent, this makes the AE Phase 1 great for medium tank hunting, its front armour is usually good enough to bounce most lower and same tier medium tank guns, but it will often fail against the bigger guns of TDs and other heavy tanks unless you're cresting a hill at a ricochet angle.
The gun is basically a nerfed version of the T110E5s gun, it makes up for its below average DPM with ease of use, accuracy and armour penetration. This make dealing damage easy from medium ranges and even long range shots shouldn't be too hard with patience. On some maps it could be more preferable to play like a TD, especially in a tier X game with more powerful heavies in the line up.
Close range brawling is where the Phase loses points. The long reload along with the annoyingly low alpha damage will not deter many opponents from rushing you if you're alone, the side armour is only enough to ricochet, most guns will cut straight through if the angle becomes any smaller. The front wheel sprocket is a shell magnet and will often leave tracked AND damaged if exposed.
If you're starting to lose a flank, don't try to be a hero, just pull back to a more defendable spot before you get overrun, its not cowardice to run from a fight you can't win, its common sense. Your team may get annoyed by you falling back, but they'll have little to say when you win the game for them doing this soon enough.
In short, the AE phase 1 really is a versatile tank, its clearly not the best in any one area but its not the worst either, its armour may not be the best, but it works when used correctly. The gun may lack raw firepower, but its user friendliness will help you focus on other things besides aiming, its not the fastest tank either; but its far from the slowest and many smaller tanks will be caught out by an attentive player with its great traverse speeds.
