The T77 is an American tier 8 premium heavy tank.
A project of an American tank developed in the mid-1950s based on the mass-produced M48 tank with elements of the T54 tank. A few turrets were built. In 1957, due to constant changes in requirements and protracted delays in development, the project was discontinued. In early 1958, all turrets were written off.

Performance
While the T77 is a heavy tank, playing it as a frontline brawler and soaking up hits is what many would consider to be a "bad idea". Though lower tier tanks may have trouble at times, the armour is poor enough that you will soon find yourself with more than half your health missing if you are not paying attention. Penetrations also lead to modular damage (such as the engine or ammo rack) more often than not, so take notice.
With its good acceleration and top speed, ideally you would want to find a good sniping spot initially; not so close that you can be easily spotted and hit by enemies, but not so far that when the time comes for a push you are miles behind the spearhead. The velocity on your standards shells make it a feasible strategy, and you can bring your accuracy below 0.3 with the right equipment/crew. If remaining unspotted is not possible (on urban maps, for example), then the next best option is to either take cover behind obstacles or sturdier teammates. While each shell does a respectable 360 damage which leads to a possible 1000+ damage potential per clip in less than 5 seconds, the subsequent reload time leaves you vulnerable, so as with any autoloader do not go alone whenever possible.
The penetration on the standard shells is decent enough that you will rarely have to dip into HEAT shells, unless one is up against higher tiers or a particular well-armoured target (unless you take joy in spending time aiming for weakspots while your health evaporates). Also, firing on the move tends to be rather ineffective at anything beyond point blank rage thanks to the atrocious move dispersion.
In conclusion, stay back or behind cover and seek opportunities to make the enemies pay, but not so far back that people think you are cosplaying as a Tank Destroyer.
