The CS-59 is a Polish tier 9 medium tank.
In order to replace the T-34-85, Poland started to develop a new medium tank based on available concepts of Soviet tank-building and original ideas. In 1968, T-55 tank production was started in Poland, and all development was discontinued. No prototype was produced.
The CS-59 leads to the CS-63.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Great top gun with high DPM, alpha damage and penetration
- Very good gun depression
- Joint largest hitpoint pool in tier/class
- Good acceleration
- Decent camouflage
Cons:
- The top gun has a long aim time and poor accuracy
- Virtually unarmored, only the upper glacis can provide some lucky bounces
- Very frequent module damage and crew injury
- Average speed and mobility
- Less than average viewrange for a Tier 9 medium tank
Performance
Another in a long list of "paper" medium tanks, the CS-59 is a rather average tank mostly defined by its top 105mm gun, which stands out thanks to its good alpha damage and especially its high DPM and penetration. Good gun depression allows the tank to make use of ridgelines for cover, which it will definitely need aplenty given its very weak armor and tendency to lose internal modules and crew every time it takes a hit (this is especially true when those hits come from large caliber HE rounds, such as artillery). Thankfully, it does enjoy a very large hitpoint pool, close to that of a heavy tank, meaning it can trade some health for damage during engagements with enemy tanks better than its peers.
Overall, the CS-59 should be played as a support vehicle. It does not have the armor or mobility to brawl, nor is its gun accurate enough to effectively snipe. It does best as part of a larger push, where it can use allies as covers and distractions and put its powerful gun to good use.
Early Research
- When fully equipped you need to research the suspensions before mounting the turret
- Research the turret
- Research the 105mm armata wz. 59 gun, it's the tank's best asset
- Research the engine
- Research the radio
- The 100mm armata wz. 62 gun can be skipped, or research it for last if you wish to elite the tank
