The IS-3-II is a Soviet tier 9 heavy tank.
A project of a double-barreled vehicle based on the mass-produced IS-3 heavy tank. The tank featured a wider, elongated hull and an enlarged turret compared to the original version. Existed only in blueprints.
The IS-3-II leads to the ST-II.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Amazing shot power when both guns are used. Can remove half of the hp from tier 9 medium tanks.
- Nice gun handling and accuracy, with good shell velocity. Can snapshot rather well.
- Great versatility of having three shooting modes - single, double and autoreloader.
- Same armor layout as the IS-3 with a noticeable increase in thickness. Very good at sidescraping.
- Strong frontal turret armor with very small cupola and -8 of gun depression. Fairly good for hulldown tactics.
- Rather good mobility, such as traverse and top speed. Can move around the battlefield easily.
Cons:
- Long aim time and time required to fire both guns. Missing shots even in close quarters is rather frequent.
- Sub-par penetration and damage per shot for such caliber in tier and class (BL-9 gun stats on wiki are slightly inaccurate).
- Cannot mount gun rammer.
- Although thick, the gun mantlet can be reliably penetrated by 330+ pen ammo.
- Requires a lot of time in order to get used to the new double-barreled gun mechanics.
Performance
Faster and better armored than its predcessor, this tank is even capable of out-trading 150mm guns. The IS-3-II gets a perfect mix of characteristics that make it a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. However, this tank requires a lot of time and skill in order to shine, due to several stats which limit its potential, such as aim time and time preparation for double shot. However the three fire modes make the guns two of the most versatile weapons in the entire game. Just need one shot? You got it. Oops you missed, second gun has you covered! Need high alpha? You got that too! In short the IS 3-II has a fire mode for every situation, making sure the enemy has no idea what you will do.
The 100mm stock gun also works well with this tank, making it a support heavy rather than brawler.
Early Research
The second suspension is needed for the third gun. However, using the "enhanced torsion bars" equipment helps you skip that.
