Don't let the fact that it's a carrier fool you though. The Hosho has one of the best speed/turning/detection combination of any carrier in the game and can often outmaneuver enemy torpedoes and shells. Therefore, it is probably more important to get the aircraft upgrades before the hull upgrade (as the hull upgrade does not increase its aircraft capacity, only its HP, AA, and maneuvering). In addition, because even its upgraded fighters are outmatched by US fighters, getting the bomber upgrade is probably the most important of the two so you can maximize your damage output due to higher speeds and more survivability. -Hōshō (鳳翔?, literally "phoenix in flight") was the world's first commissioned ship that was designed and built as an aircraft carrier, and the first aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). Commissioned in 1922, the ship was used for testing carrier aircraft operations equipment, techniques, such as take-offs and landings, and carrier aircraft operational methods and tactics. The ship provided valuable lessons and experience for the IJN in early carrier air operations. Hōshō‍‍ '‍s superstructure and other obstructions to the flight deck were removed in 1924 on the advice of experienced aircrews.<br />
