Additionally, the in-game text is misleading: the ship is not particularly well armored for its tier, making the ship reliant on using its bow to deflect shots at the hull. Once it is upgraded, it goes from bad to workable, with better secondaries and AA.  However, it remains vulnerable to plunging fire and HE spam due to its wide open deck and the fully upgraded AA is not adequate enough to fend off air attacks without support from allies.
