+The Chi-Ri is a very interesting tank. It has absolutely horrible armor and bad penetration. If it is not used carefully, it will be vaporized by an IS-3 Defender, IS-6 or generally any other tier eight heavy. However, this tank has the potential to shine. Its gun is a magnificent example of a spitfire. It is capable of unloading 480 damage into a tank in 3 seconds, and then reloading the clip in around 8 seconds. Used as a support tank and second-line medium, it can pick apart the enemy tank by tank. Its mobility is sub-par for its armor, and it thus must be careful to keep a safe distance. 0.36 dispersion on the gun is not bad, and using 186 pen premium ammo it can pen heavies with some difficulty. For the greatest success, stick to bushes and hard cover, unload 480 damage, and then draw back for the clip to reload. While not feared at the beginning of the battle, being a poorly armored Japanese tank, you will certainly be noticed at the end of the battle when the damage stats are viewed.

A single prototype was manufactured at the beginning of 1945. The vehicle underwent trials and was recommended for service. However, Japan was defeated before mass production could begin. After the surrender, the prototype was confiscated by American occupation authorities and was shipped to the United States.

Performance

The Chi-Ri is a very interesting tank.
