Due to low DPM, try not to be on the frontlines as tier 8-10 tanks will rip through your weak lower glacis as well as your somewhat sub-par upper glacis.

This upgraded version of the Centurion was developed by Leyland Motors and featured an expanded hull, improved cabin design, larger fuel tanks, and enhanced armor.

Performance

When you first purchase this tank, take everything you have learned from the last two previous tanks, play it as you would a Centurion I. Effectively, you ARE a Centurion I with a slight increase in ROF and health. You have the exact same gun, turret, and handling capabilities unitl you get the Royal Ordnance 105mm, it is a interestingly challenging grind to say the least. The Centurion 7/1 is a poor brawler, so keep at least 50+ meters between you and your enemies. The Centurion 7/1 with the top tier 105mm gun is best sutied as a second to third line support tank specifically because of its' powerful gun. The 20-pdr Type B Barrel is not a bad gun at all, with good DPM (on-par with its peers), penetration, and high accuracy. However, you must think outside of the box as to how you will support your team. Use your mobility to find a position on the flanks of the enemy and make their life miserable. You must shoot for weak spots and engage the enemy while they are distracted. Hull down positions are your best friend! Stay hull down and your life expectancy increases dramatically. Once you get the 105mm, you can trade shots easier with your Tier X caliber pen and damage. Just don't expect to win any DPM wars with it. The 105mm makes the Centurion 7/1 a very good sniper or second line support. Due to low DPM, try not to be on the frontlines as tier 8-10 tanks will rip through your weak lower glacis as well as your somewhat sub-par upper glacis.

Early Research

  • Research the engine first, for a much needed mobility increase.
  • Begin on the path to research the 105mm Royal Ordinance.
  • Then get the 20pdr Type B Barrel gun. Afterwards you should then mount the Mk 9 turret before finally grinding out the final gun.
  • You can then easily earn the XP for the tracks as a major mobility boost.
