Covenanter

A new cruiser tank that featured such innovations as an opposed-piston engine, front placement of cooling radiators, and the wide use of welding. The vehicle was ordered for production on April 17, 1939. A total of 1,771 tanks in four base variants were mass-produced. The Covenanter tanks were used mostly for training purposes in the U.K. from 1940 through 1943.

Next to the Hetzer, this tank is the best tier IV tank (at elite status). Its gun will mow down hordes of enemies if used correctly. If armed with the highest gun, simply approach an enemy, load the correct shell, and fire away. After unloading a clip (and causing 200-240 damage in total) drive circles around the enemy or move back and forth. 2 clips is sufficient enough to finish off a tank, but sometimes 3 is necessary for higher tier tanks. The "bane" of this tank is the Matilda: the Matilda's armor cannot be penetrated by AP shells: you must use APCR. This tank has very low armor, but its gun can finish an enemy off before they deal too much damage to you. Additionally, the speed, traverse speed, turret speed and maneuverability of this tank are unparalleled; 3-4 kills per battle are not uncommon as you can zoom around, use the "circle around and pump in shells" tactic to finish off isolated tanks, and clear the battlefield.

Performance

The Conveanter is a great sweeper, able to wipe out tanks of every tier that it can battle with. The rapid fire gun does from 200-240 damage; quite a lot when you think about it. 2 or 3 clips can destroy a tank, but make sure you do it before the enemy turns his gun on you (especially if its a TD or tier 5). Your speed is practically your only defense, so get shooting! Also, don't challenge thick-skinned tanks like the KV-1 and Matilda unless you either have APCR or if you are on the flank. Another problem is the sub-par pen, which is bad for its tier and nearly unusable in tier 5 battles. This is the tank for those who dream of charging around the battlefield, yelling "Everyone must die! Now!", and getting your wish come true.
