|InTheGame_performance= Very competitive brawling tank. The theoretical DPM while shooting HESH, which can pen all the other Tier 10 medium tanks from the front, is very high, but the chance of all your shots penetrating is not very high. Exercise caution when fighting in the front lines, as your turret armor, though not terrible, is not strong enough to withstand Tier 10 guns. Try to keep your tank moving to prevent enemies from aiming at your weakspots; the FV4202's armor layout is great for bouncing careless or hasty shots. Use your maneuverability, high DPM, and HESH to their best extent to make yourself a threat to all tanks, while being able to dodge shots quickly and slip back into cover in a heartbeat. | |InTheGame_performance= Very competitive brawling tank. + | The FV4202 has exceptional gun depression and while it has a soft turret, it is still at home hill fighting. Excellent gun hanling will allow you to take snap shots over ridges with decent accuracy, minimizing your exposure time for the turret and inducing many misses. When executing this quasi hull down maneuver, it is best to choose areas that allow you to move up to the hill sideways to the enemy. Dance quickly up, fire a snap shot and dance back down below a ridge. This tactic elicits many missed shots from enemies relying on auto aim which can't quite keep up with the speed of the maneuver. | |||

+ | When driving an FV4202 take care to avoid situations where you will encounter heavy tanks frontally. The soft turret and lack of high penetration premium round make this technique a recipe for failure. Instead, position yourself to get side shots on enemy tanks, or work on medium tank foes. Whenever you have side shots with the FV4202, switch to HESH, or even HE which has very high penetration averaging 110mm can over-match the side armor of many tier X vehicles. | |||

Something of a departure from the philosophies of more or less all British mediums before it, the FV4202 may seem at first to be simply an upgrade of the Centurion Mk. 7/1 - and may indeed be played as such - but is in fact quite its own beast. Its significantly smaller profile, extremely well-sloped frontal armor and increased agility means that this tank can stand to take on a much more aggressive role than its predecessor, and contributes to make it a much more well-rounded vehicle. In fact, one could consider it a reverse of the previous Centurion tanks; instead of having poor hull armor and tough turret, it gains an extremely sturdy and sloped hull in exchange for a weaker turret with no mantlet. Nonetheless, its marginally increased DPM, superior maneuverability, and tricky armor layout make it a very competitive all-rounder tank for Tier X.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Very good all-rounder tank
- Higher DPM than the E 50M and M48 Patton

- Highly sloped frontal hull will likely autobounce anything coming its way
- Quick acceleration and powerful engine
Cons:
- Relatively slow speed limit at 40, but it reaches it very quickly
- Relatively weak turret with no mantlet - can bounce lower tier guns but Tier 10 tanks will punch through it easily
- Lack of a high penetration premium round limits the tank in roles it can play, and in tight situations with the match on the
