Armored fighting vehicles designed by or imported into the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. USSR tanks will often fall into a role-set that each class will excel at, but at the expense of being notably less capable if called into other roles at any time. The USSR designed and fielded several of the most recognizable, and in some cases ubiquitous, tanks in the history of armored warfare. Best suited for high-speed spotting or flanking, or head-on frontal engagements due to high-speed and/or thick frontal armor.

To go into detail, the Soviet Mediums are a group of tanks with a variety of uses. Low tier, you see a good mix between armor and firepower, but not necessarily mobility, one example being the T-26. Going up, you see the main T-34 series, which perform well in a variety of situations. As you reach the top of the train, you see tanks capable of being a light, medium, or heavy tank. With their absurd frontal armor and great mobility, such as the T-62A, they are a force to be reckoned with. When choosing a medium line to go, the Soviet Line should be one of the top choices for any player, noob or veteran.

The Soviet Heavies are an interesting bunch of tanks. It starts off with the KV-1, a successful tank both in game and real life. Now here is the problem, you can choose to either go the T-150 or KV-1S route. Many choose the KV-1S first due to it being able to equip a 122mm gun, but the T-150 line has a line full of steel. From the KV-1S line, you reach the Isoif Stalin line, a company of agile, hard hitting tanks, but mostly lack aquedate armor (exception being the IS-7). The T-150 line leads to the continued KV series, topping off with the ST-I and IS-4. Now these tanks are a slow bunch, well under-powered compare to the IS line (IS-3's 122mm BL-9 vs. KV-4's 107mm Zis-24), and have significantly less mobility, but make up for this with their impenetrable armor. No matter which line you choose, the Soviet Heavy Line is accommodating to any style of game play.

The Soviet Tank Destroyers are just a marvel of engineering. Appearing with the AT-I, you see the difference between the light guns of the T-26 and the Anti-Tank gun of the AT-I. Going up, you see the SU line, which enlighten anyone who uses them. Reaching the SU-100, you see the 122mm, the only gun comparable with the KV-1S. Now here, you can go either Su-152 or SU-100M1. The SU-152 line is where all hell breaks loose, with the dreaded 152mm guns. The higher you go, the more accurate the monsters become. It tops off with the Object 268, a fast-firing killer on the run. If you choose the SU-100M1 line, you see a bunch of more agile "flankers." With good armor and speed, but not necessarily firepower, these are often used as flankers, which wreck havoc on unsuspecting enemies. Going up, you get more agile, but the biggest gun you get is the 130mm of the Object 263. Frontal armor is where this beats the SU line. Whether you choose a heavy gun or great armor and mobility, the Soviet TD line is sure to be one of the first lines you pick.
