Inscription History
Lidice Impressed by reports of Soviet success in Stalingrad and after the Moscow radio reported that MS. military unit went to the front, declared on February 4, 1943, MS. soldiers in Olšanská station collection on the first tank called "Lidice". Pražačka HETZER "PRAŽAČKA" He was captured right at the beginning of the uprising from the Žižkov train station together with 2 other Hetzer's. Ležáky On January 30, 1943, military train No. 22904 left the station in Buzuluk. 974 members of the 1st Czechoslovak Independent Field Battalion left for the front with their commander, Colonel Ludvík Svoboda. Strašnice The insurgent Hetzers defended the Strašnice transmitter, which sent urgent calls from Czech Radio to help Prague. One of them received the honorary name "VYSÍLAČKA STRAŠNICE" ("TRANSMITTER STRAŠNICE").
