+* High explosive ammunition is missing. The SAP shell is a fabrication by Wargaming.
+* ''Andrea Doria'' is only depicted after her 1940 reconstruction. Her pre-refit hull does not exist in World of Warships.
+* ''Andrea Doria'' had only three 37 mm/54 Breda guns in single mounts. These were not removed until 1944.
+* Both ships of the ''Andrea Doria'' class were already equipped with 37 mm/54 Breda guns in twin mounts after their reconstruction. However, the AA guns are all in single mounts on Hull (A).
+* Both ships of the ''Andrea Doria'' class had a total of fifteen 37 mm/54 Breda guns, six twin mounts and three single mounts. Hull (B), however, has all nine of these AA guns in twin mounts.
+* Both ships of the ''Andrea Doria'' class were already equipped with six 20 mm/65 Breda machine guns in twin mounts after their reconstruction. The 13.2 mm/76 Breda gun configuration on Hull (A) is another fabrication by Wargaming.

Andrea Doria — Italian Tier VI battleship.

The second series of Italian battleships was based on the improved Conte di Cavour design. Andrea Doria, which was laid down in 1913, participated in the Fiume Question and the Corfu incident in the 1920s. In the 1930s and 1940s, the ship's propulsion unit and armament were upgraded. During World War II, she escorted convoys to Libya and participated in the Battle of Sirte.

Player Opinion

Performance

Warning. The data presented in the AA Defense sidebar section may be incorrect.
Refer to the in-game Port screens for more useful data.

Pros:

  • Has access to Semi-Armor Piercing main battery ammunition.
  • Fast turret traverse.
  • Flat ballistics meaning that not much lead is needed.
  • Good armor.
  • One of the best torpedo protection reduction of all tier VI battleships at 32%.
  • Large quantities of secondaries.
  • Decent AA.
  • Top speed of 27 knots.
  • Decent concealment for a battleship at her tier.
  • Armor piercing shells have good penetration.
  • Built-in -30% shell swap time.

Cons:

  • Does not carry High Explosive main battery ammunition.
  • Guns' performance can be inconsistent.
  • Smallest health pool for a tier VI battleship.
  • While the AA is decent, it's mostly short range, meaning it won't stop strikes.
  • While she has a lot of secondaries, most of them are 90mm, meaning they won't pen DDs.
  • Although still sensible, her armor is often ineffective against enemy battleships with gun caliber of 356 mm and above.
  • Rear turrets have unfavorable firing angles.
