Belfast '43 — British special premium Tier VIII cruiser.
Commissioned in 1939, the second ship of the Edinburgh class, HMS Belfast, struck a German mine at the beginning of World War II and was subsequently under repair until 1942. After that, in 1943, the ship escorted northern convoys and participated in the sinking of Scharnhorst in the Battle of the North Cape. In 1944, she covered the landing of Allied troops in Normandy. Between 1950 and 1952, the cruiser participated in the Korean War. Since 1971, Belfast has served as a museum ship and, since 1978, as a branch of the Imperial War Museum.

Player Opinion
Pros:
- Has access to HE shells, unlike most other British light cruisers
- Good HE shell performance - good damage, decent fire chance and 30mm base penetration
- Unlike its Tier 7 counterpart, Belfast '43 has two triple torpedo launchers, one per side of the ship
- Access to Smoke Generator , Surveillance Radar and Hydroacoustic Search in separate slots
- Excellent concealment with all the relevant upgrades
Cons:
- Low rate of fire for a light cruiser
- Does not have Repair Party
- Like other British light cruisers, Belfast '43 is fragile and lightly armored
- Poor AA defenses, vulnerable to planes
- Smoke from the Smoke Generator disperses very quickly
- Hydroacoustic Search and Surveillance Radar have one less charge compared to other cruisers
