Buffalo — American Tier IX cruiser.
This heavy cruiser design appeared soon after the completion of development of cruiser Baltimore and was her direct successor (Project CA-B). The increased water displacement allowed engineers to significantly reinforce the ship's armor protection and armament. The number of main guns was augmented to total 12 overall.

Player Opinion
Pros:
- Largest broadside amongst Tier IX heavy cruisers, 12 8-inch guns coupled with American super-heavy AP shells make her a prominent threat to any enemy ships showing its broadside.
- Excellent AA firepower, similar to Baltimore.
Cons:
- Firing off a full broadside requires showing a large portion of the side of the ship, making her vulnerable to return fire.
- Significantly longer reload than Baltimore.
- Shortest main battery range among all Tier IX cruisers.
- High shell arcs and low AP shell velocity makes long range gunnery difficult.
- Relatively sluggish compared to its predecessor, with a larger turning circle and significantly longer rudder shift time when stock.
