First introduced in Update 0.5.13, Containers are a daily reward system, replacing the earlier daily missions. This feature becomes available to captains starting Account Level 4.

Collecting and opening

Containers can be collected from a variety of sources, including:

  • Up to three standard containers per day, depending on net XP earned.
  • Events and their associated missions and Premium Shop sales.
  • Campaigns.
  • Some operations.

Collected containers can be opened at any time; access from the above mentioned "Containers" menu. If a captain accumulates 1000 unopened containers additional containers will be opened automatically.

Standard containers

Earning

Up to three standard containers may be earned per server day. Earning a container requires earning a certain amount of XP within that day:

  • First container: 2 000 XP
  • Second container: 12 500 XP (10 500 XP more)
  • Third container: 37 000 XP (24 500 XP more)

Note: This is net XP and not base XP, so bonuses from Premium Account, camouflage, flags, challenges, and so forth will count towards the total.

At the end of each server day the running XP total is reset to 0. At this time containers that were earned but not already collected manually will be collected automatically. XP from battles is counted at the time the battle ends.

Once enough experience is earned to unlock a container, captains open up the "Containers" menu in the port screen and are able to collect their standard containers. At this time, captains are able to select the type of container they would like; the choices are further described below.

Occasionally events may reward standard containers. These are collected automatically and are of predefined type.

Container types

There are four types of standard containers:

  • More Credits: Three items. First item is always credits and is more likely to draw more.
  • More Signals and Camouflages: Three items. First item is always signals or camouflage and is more likely to draw more.
  • More Consumables: Three items. First item is always 3x Damage Control Party II and is more likely to draw more consumables.
  • Try Your Luck: Twice (?) as likely to be a supercontainer, but otherwise contains only one item, most likely 4x signal.

Standard rewards

Common possibilities in standard containers:

  • 50 000 credits (75 000 for Try Your Luck).
  • 500 Free XP (750 for Try Your Luck).
  • 2x premium consumable (3x for More Consumables, does not appear in Try Your Luck).
  • 3x non-special signal (4x for More Signals and Camouflages, Try Your Luck).
  • 5x Type 1 or Type 2 camouflage (does not appear in Try Your Luck).
  • 2x Type 5 camouflage.
  • 2x other camouflage (Try Your Luck only).

More rarely:

  • 1x port slot.
  • 4x captain reserve slot.

Collection item

Some collections may have items appear in standard containers. This is in addition to the above rewards. Note that only some collections are eligible for this, and only one collection at a time can be active for standard containers.

Patches

There is also a small chance for a patch to appear in a standard container. This is in addition to the above rewards.

Supercontainers

Every standard container has a small chance to be a supercontainer. Supercontainers contain much more valuable rewards than regular containers. Possibilities include:

  • 50 000 or 100 000 Free XP.
  • 1000 or 2500 doubloons.
  • 100x non-special signal.
  • 25x, 50x or 100x special signal.
  • 50x camouflage.
  • Premium ship, including captain (10 points) and port slot.
  • 7, 14 or 30 days Premium account.
  • Special upgrades.

Chances for every content are not the same. Higher probability is for weaker content (e.g. special upgrades), Most valuable content has minimal chance (e.g. premium ship). The same rule is for amount: player will more often get 1000 than 2500 doubloons, 25x than 100x special signals, lower premium ships etc.

Supercontainers are occasionally awarded directly.

Events may introduce special, limited-time types of containers. Many contain items for a specific Collection.
