+ | * Actual name is ''Scheme XVI''.
+ | * ''Florida'' is actually the name of a ''Florida''-class battleship (BB-30) that was in service from 1911 to 1931. No other warship inherited the name until 1983, when a ''Ohio''-class cruise missile submarine (SSGN-728) entered service.
+ | * Original secondary armament consisted of only single and twin 5"/38 caliber guns. The 20mm Oerlikon and 40mm Bofors mounts were invented by WG.
+ | * ''Florida'' carries a Naval Aircraft Factory N3N with pre-war markings despite the ship's fictional late-WW2 configuration. For 1944 condition, the ship should be carrying either the Vought OS2U Kingfisher or the Curtiss SC Seahawk.
+ | * The 5"/38 caliber gun's actual rate of fire is 15 rounds per minute, not 10 or 20.

Florida — American special premium Tier VII battleship.
After the signing of the Washington Naval Treaty, the "battleship building holiday" began. It was only toward the end of this period that the U.S. Navy started preparing to build ships of this class. In 1935, preliminary sketches were presented, of which only the armament of design A was within the limits imposed by the London Naval Treaty of 1936. Development continued on a project with twelve 356 mm guns housed in three turrets. Its development led to the introduction of the North Carolina-class battleships.
Florida was first released for sale on 1 October 2020.

Player Opinion
Pros:
- Heavy broadside of twelve (12) 356mm guns
- Excellent dispersion for a battleship
- Comfortable shell velocity
- Good main battery range, also can equip the Artillery Plotting Room Modification 1 upgrade
- Thick deck armor, can bounce most AP and shatter many HE shells
- Good AA suite, bolstered by the Defensive AA Fire consumable
- Good concealment with all the relevant upgrades
Cons:
- Small gun caliber, AP shells cannot overmatch 25mm armor
- Fairly anemic HE shells, low damage and fire chance
- Slow main battery reload speed and turret traverse
- Smallest hitpoint pool for a Tier 7 battleship, and one less Repair Party charge than standard
- Poorly armored for a battleship, nose and aft armor are merely 25mm
- The citadel is exposed above the waterline, showing Florida's broadside is extremely risky
- Slow rudder shift time

Consumables
As a premium ship, Florida comes with Type 10 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, reduces her repair costs, and increases the amount of experience she earns.
