''La Galissonnière'' is a Tier VI French Cruiser. She has a main armament of nine 152mm guns on three turrets with an ABX turret configuration, as well as a twin tube torpedo launcher on each side. Her main guns have fast shell velocity and decent range, along with a high fire chance for a 152mm gun at 12%. While the reload is slower than other 152mm-gunned cruisers, this high fire chance allows her to be very annoying to enemy ships, forcing them to use Damage Control Party to put out these fires or suffer large amounts of damage. Her torpedoes are different from those of most cruisers, featuring a 9km base range and only two tubes per side. Instead of a point blank self-defense weapon able to delete full HP battleships, these torpedoes are more long range harassment and area denial weapons, good for throwing around islands and into caps hoping to hit unsuspecting enemies. Like most cruisers, she is fairly squishy and will take large amounts of damage from anything that connects its shells. Maneuverability wise, she has a base rudder shift of 7.7 seconds, a turning circle of 650m, and a base top speed of 31 kts. She bleeds large amounts of speed in turns, making her feel sluggish. However, while slower on paper, ''La Galissonnière'' is given the Engine Boost consumable, allowing her to increase her speed significantly, making this lower top speed a bit less noticeable. For AA, she has quad Bofors as well as 20mm mounts, giving her decent self-defense power. However, her long range AA power is lacking, with only 15 base DPS on her long range aura, making her a bad candidate for fleet AA duty. Overall, ''La Galissonnière'' is an interesting ship featuring good guns, unique torpedoes, and decent mobility and AA power. ''La Galissonnière'' is a Tier VI French Cruiser.  +Her AP is pretty good at short ranges and plunging fire citadels are possible. Shells lack the ability to penetrate any ship including destroyers. So even if you hit another cruiser with HE you still might not do damage at all. The same will go for AP. The other difference in this ship is with the armor you are given you will be citadeled by battleships if you are broadside unlike the low tier where if you gave them a full un-angled broadside they would over pen you.

La Galissonnière — French Tier VI cruiser.

After the signing of the London Naval Treaty, France began developing a new class of cruisers. The technical specifications included protection from 138.6 mm shells at a distance of more than 9,000 m and from 152 mm shells at a distance of more than 14,000 m. The armament comprised nine 152 mm guns. During World War II, La Galissonnière patrolled the coast of Tunisia and provided cover for battleship Provence during Operation Catapult.

For AA, she has quad Bofors as well as 20mm mounts, giving her decent self-defense power. However, her long range AA power is lacking, with only 15 base DPS on her long range aura, making her a bad candidate for fleet AA duty. Overall, La Galissonnière is an interesting ship featuring good guns, unique torpedoes, and decent mobility and AA power.

Her AP is pretty good at short ranges and plunging fire citadels are possible.

Pros:

  • Actually has armor, unlike the preceding two ships in the line.
  • Improved rate of fire over Émile Bertin, while retaining the advantages of AB-X layout and fast traverse.
  • AA is good bu not incredible like the Cleveland.
  • Low Sigma values like other French cruisers.

Cons:

  • Only double torpedo launchers, instead of the triples of Émile Bertin.
  • While rate of fire is improved over her predecessor, it is still worse than other cruisers at the same tier mounting the same gun.
  • Steering gears get knocked out consistently.
  • Shells have hard time penetrating to do damage.
