Minnesota — American Tier IX battleship.
A possible upgraded design of one of the never-built battleships of the South Dakota class. From 1941 to 1944, all conventional battleships of the U.S. Navy underwent significant modernization, including the addition of massive bulges that increased the ships' displacement. Those improvements included an expanded array of AA guns, seaplane catapults, and horizontal protection enhancements. Had South Dakota-class battleships been built and in service by the start of World War II, they would likely have undergone a comparable upgrade.

Player Opinion
Pros:
- Heavy broadside with a grand total of 12 guns.
- 38mm plating covers most of the hull allowing to her to resist HE and bounce 460mm or smaller AP shells.
- Good torpedo protection with, 40% damage reduction
- Has access to Defensive AA Fire , something most battleships don't have
Cons:
- Slowest tier 9 battleship in the game with a top speed of 23 knots and she has sluggish maneuverability.
- Despite having 38mm covering a lot of the hull and deck. She's still very squishy, her armor scheme doesn't seem to work half of the time
- Smaller HP pool thanIowa
- Armor piercing shells, do less damage than Iowa
- AP shell penetration characteristics is poor, so she sometimes struggles to penetrate the armor on battleships.
- Insanely long reload time of 40 seconds, giving her the longest reload time of any battleship in the game.
- Unlike most U.S battleships, she doesn't have the improved Repair Party
