Minotaur — British Tier X cruiser.
A light cruiser design with a more powerful and sophisticated AA system. Developed after the end of World War II from the Neptune-class cruisers. She carried dual-purpose main guns placed in new turrets, allowing for a higher rate of fire.

Player Opinion
Performance
A newcomer to the tier 10 cruiser group, the Minotaur stands as the pinnacle light cruiser of the UK cruiser tree.
Jokingly called "Memenotaur" or "Memetaur", the cruiser's offensive array is virtually nothing to joke or even laugh at as she now dethroned her cruiser colleague Des Moines in terms of rate of fire and with the insanely fast turret traverse, she can perform "reactive shooting" where she can practically and literally respond back to ships firing at her as well as hail AP fire to wither anything down to shreds, including battleships. This cruiser, however, has lots of tricks up her sleeves as she prides herself as the pinnacle of the branch: the smokescreen which her predecessors have by default, the radar surveillance consumable, the same unique torpedo launch, the same absurd repair party and the hydroacoustic search. It should be noted that Minotaur does not have a secondary battery array as her "secondaries" aboard are actually high caliber AA guns which, in any case, make the cruiser into a very effective AA platform rivaling that of Des Moines which is a notorious AA cruiser, adding the fact her 152mm guns are also dual purpose which contributes greatly to the AA suite.
However, as insane her rate of fire is, it is heavily mitigated by the long standing notion of the British light cruisers to not have HE shells as installing that aboard this cruiser would make her akin to that of a tier 10 Atlanta. It is also a plus that out of all the cruisers, she also dethroned Zao in terms of concealment so it is not surprising that players can and will always have the initiative of shooting first. Despite all that, she is still a light cruiser so expect to eat a lot of damage as her armor is durable to a degree but never infallible.
A quote for the Minotaur can be said to this: keep firing in the darkness until you are seen, jump into the melee if you are confident to kill them, then get away gracefully with what you have done.Pros:
- Unrivaled rate of fire
- Good range; comparable to the US cruiser Des Moines
- Very fast turret traverse; the cruiser can literally respond to any attack on either side
- Good speed
- Very powerful AA suite; if kitted to anti-aircraft duties, the cruiser literally has the longest AA reach of any cruiser and potent damage
- Jack of all trades; can shred destroyers, deal with her cruiser peers, give battleships something to fret about and be another detriment to carriers
- Good GFCS range; with plotting room equipment, she can literally perform an "AP hail" on any surface ship detected without being seen
- Retains the same consumable list of hydroacoustic, rapid repairs, radar surveillance and smoke
- Highest torpedo range and fairly fast reload on a cruiser
- Retains the ability to single launch torpedoes
- Potential fear factor; apart from being a new wary thing for carriers, she literally pummels any ship, be them destroyers to capital ships like battleships or the carriers themselves
Cons:
- Fairly slow shell velocity
- Turrets are fairly easy to incapacitate, if not outright destroy
- Cannot equip defensive fire consumable to increase the AA suite's potency even further
- As with her line, the AP is at times unreliable as they bounce despite dealing consistent low damage
- Torpedo tubes can be easy to knock out
- Torpedoes, despite having the longest range for any cruiser, is fairly slow at 62 knots
- Armor is decent enough against small caliber shells, heavy cruisers and battleships will literally whack her out of the water

Optimal Configuration
Upgrades
It is suggested you take the concealment module as a mandatory thing because as a light cruiser, your first priority in regards to survivability is to minimize the time you are to be seen as you cannot behave like the Zao which can deal massive amounts of damage when she appears to shoot close in a concealment build against battleships although its a different story to her peers
