Operation Aegis

General Information

Operation Aegis is the second Season 1 scenario operation for the Scenario Mode initially introduced for the week of June 14, 2017 - June 20, 2017 Following the initial week Operation Aegis will rotate as one of four Operation's of the Week for the remainder of season 1.

Operation Scenario

• An allied naval division has been attacked. Some ships have been destroyed, and the transport ships that were captured are being convoyed to the enemy base now. Intercept the enemy convoy and take back the allied ships.

Allied Task Force

• The allied task force consist of :
  • 7 assorted player controlled Tier V and Tier VI ships. ( Makeup of team is dependent on participation )
    • Ship type limits: 0-1 aircraft carriers, 0-3 destroyers, 0-3 battleships, 0-4 cruisers.
  • 1 Shchors cruiser ( NPC ) - task force commander, Captain Akulov.
  • 1 Mahan destoryer ( NPC ) , Captain Smith
  • 1 Saipan aircraft carrier ( NPC )

Tasks

Primary Task

• Take back allied ships and protect them en route to their destination.

Secondary Tasks

• Save cruiser Shchors or save the commander of Shchors.
• Destroy five enemy ships in two minutes.
• Capture a strategic area.
• Destroy three enemy aircraft carriers.
• Save all transport ships.

Rewards & Achievements

Star Rewards

• Rewards are only obtained upon the successful completion of the primary task and are awarded based on the number secondary tasks completed ( each task awarding 1 star ).
  • 1 Star : 5x November Foxtrot (), 5x Juliet Charlie (), 5x November Echo Setteseven ()
  • 2 Star : 5x Victor Lima (), 5x India Yankee (), 5x Juliet Yankee Bissotwo ()
  • 3 Star : 5x Restless Fire ()
  • 4 Star : Russian commander (Orlan) with 10 skill points & Reserve Slot.
  • 5 Star : 1 Day premium account

Rewards are non-repeatable and are only awarded the fist time each specific star level is achieved.

• There are a series of Standard Scenario Achievements that are available exclusively during Scenario Mode.

Operation Info

First Wave

• Attack primary enemy convoy : An initial convoy of five ships will be traveling north to south on the center line of the map. Attack this convoy to capture strategic area.
  • This convoy consists of 3 cruisers ( Aoba, Furutaka & Myoko ), 1 battleship ( Ishizuchi ), 1 destroyer ( Shiratsuyu ).
• Defend from second enemy convoy : A second force of four ships entering from the northwest will attack and try and recapture strategic area.
  • This force consists of 2 cruisers ( various ), 2 battleships ( various ).

Second Wave

• Destroy enemy escort : A convoy of five enemy ships escorting five allied transport ships will be traveling north to south on the center line of the map. Destroy all enemy escorts to free allied transports.
  • Enemy escort convoy consists of 5 cruisers ( various ).
  • Friendly transports consist of 5 Liberty ships.

Third Wave

• Escort transport ships out of action zone : Defend against two enemy forces, the first entering from the north and the second entering from the northeast, as you escort the Liberty ships to the save zone in the east.
  • Fist enemy force consists of 2 aircraft carriers ( Hosho & Zuiho ).
  • Second enemy force consists of 1 aircraft carrier ( Ryujo ), 3 cruisers ( various ), 2 battleships ( various ), 1 destroyer ( various ).

Additional Information

• Rescue the Commander of the a sinking Shchors : If the task force commander's ship is destroyed the Commander mush be rescued before the ship fully sinks. This is done by entering the visible circle shown around the sinking ship.
