Orkan — European special premium Tier VIII destroyer.

An "M"-class destroyer built for the Royal Navy, but transferred to the Polish Navy shortly after being commissioned. Despite similarities with Lightning-class ships, Orkan boasted stronger AA defenses which were reinforced at the cost of a reduced number of torpedo tubes.

Orkan was first released on 25 April 2020.

Pros:

  • Excellent main battery traverse speed and forward firing angles
  • Excellent torpedo speed and range
  • Very narrow torpedo spread, ideal for precise aiming
  • Decent concealment
  • Access to the Repair Party While active, restores a percentage of the ship's health points each second. consumable
  • Access to the Surveillance Radar While active, detects all enemy ships within the specified radius, disregarding obstacles such as smoke and terrain. consumable

Cons:

  • Lacks the Smoke Generator While active, generates a smoke screen that blocks line-of-sight for both enemies and teammates. consumable
  • Poor top speed and fairly sluggish rudder shift for a destroyer
  • Single 102mm secondary gun is essentially useless
  • Weak torpedo armament - only one quadruple rack with low alpha damage and poor firing angles
  • Bad main battery firing angles when retreating
  • Weak AA suite, vulnerable to planes

As a premium ship, Orkan comes included with Type 10 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, reduces her repair costs, and increases the amount of experience she earns.

Signals

Orkan captains should equip Victor Lima (+1% chance of causing a fire for bombs and shells with a caliber above 160mm / +0.5% chance of causing a fire for bombs and shells with a caliber below 160mm. / +4% chance of causing flooding.) and India X-Ray (+1% chance of causing a fire for bombs and shells with a caliber above 160mm. / +0.5% chance of causing a fire for bombs and shells with a caliber below 160mm. / +5% to the risk of your ship's magazine detonating.) signals to maximize the fire chance of her main battery shells, as well as Sierra Mike (+5% to the ship's maximum speed.) to maximize her ability to disengage when needed. November Foxtrot (-5% reload time on all consumables.) is also recommended in order to reduce the cooldown time of her Surveillance Radar While active, detects all enemy ships within the specified radius, disregarding obstacles such as smoke and terrain., as is India Delta (+20% to the amount of HP recovered when the Repair Party consumable is used.) to maximize her Repair Party While active, restores a percentage of the ship's health points each second..
