| ? | |InTheGame_performance= The Furutaka is a mid range fighter, It is a very soft skinned ship but can dish out a lot of damage with its guns, Your Torpedoes should be considered as an auxiliary armament with the 6km Range and long reload. The citadel is very weak and easily hit with most ships consistently able to go through and do full damage. It however has very powerful 203mm guns able to deal with Battleships efficiently. If you do not draw attention to yourself, you can help press through a flank easily. one thing to note about Furutaka is that she is the first heavy cruiser you unlock since her first heavy cruiser counterpart, the Pensacola, is at two tiers higher to unlock. she cannot serve well as an AA screen due to her small AA suite but she does excel as a reasonable anti-ship screen, being able to deal considerable damage with her 8 inch (203mm) guns against destroyers, her tier 5 counterpart, and potentially other battleships. do not prolong engagements against fast firing cruisers such as the Omaha and Cleveland because even as a heavy cruiser Furutaka is still a bit underarmored and her fast firing colleagues will swamp her in salvos. | | + | |
