?1. Write a brief intro paragraph of 1-3 sentences.+
?2. Write 1-3 paragraphs of "meat". Talk about what the ship does well, what it doesn't, how it compares to same tier ships of the same type, how it compares to the previous ship in the tech tree, whatever. Try to avoid quoting vital statistics to players unless it is really relevant (i.e. concealment); they can see those in the sidebar on the right and don't need them read back. +

Special

Paolo Emilio — Italian special premium Tier IX destroyer.

After the beginning of naval cooperation between Italy and the U.S.S.R., the Ansaldo company prepared a number of ship designs under Soviet orders. An armored scout with a standard displacement of 3,700 tons was among them. The ship had high speed, eight 130 mm guns in four mounts, and armor protection in the form of a full-fledged armored belt and armored deck.

Paolo Emilio was first released for sale on 30 Sep 2020.

Player Opinion

Performance

Also known as 'Yolo Emilio', Paolo Emilio has a very dangerous trick up her sleeve. Using her Exhaust Smoke GeneratorGenerates a smoke screen that allows the ship to remain undetected at full speed. and Emergency Engine PowerWhile active, increases a ship's speed by a fixed percentage., she can rush a battleship undetected and untargeted, pumping the contents of one or two torpedo racks into her victim from relatively close range. Very few ships can survive a strike by four or eight 24K warheads. Then, if she's lucky, Paolo Emilio can go dark to plan another attack.

Pros:

  • Largest hitpoint pool among Tier 9 destroyers
  • Good main battery ballistics - high shell velocity and flat arcs
  • Has access to both SAP and HE shells
  • Heavy torpedo armament of three quadruple launchers with high damage and flood chance, and good speed
  • Has a 60mm thick armor belt, can shatter most HE shells and, with the right angling, bounce AP shells
  • Very high ship speed, aided by a unique Emergency Engine PowerWhile active, increases a ship's speed by a fixed percentage. consumable which when active, it becomes possible to exceed 60 knots with appropriate flags and skills making it the fastest ship in the game
  • Using the Exhaust Smoke GeneratorGenerates a smoke screen that allows the ship to remain undetected at full speed., she can stay hidden even at full speed

Cons:

Research

As a premium ship, Paolo Emilio doesn't have any upgrades to research.

Optimal Configuration

Upgrades

Consumables

Paolo Emilio can equip the following consumables:

Camouflage

As a premium ship, Paolo Emilio comes with Type 10 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, reduces her service cost, and increases the amount of experience she earns.
