Pommern — German special premium Tier IX battleship.

When designing the H-class battleship, the main requirement was for her firepower to surpass that of all counterparts anywhere in the world. Despite Germany's pledge to adhere to the Washington Naval Treaty, the nation's leadership insisted on using the 420 mm caliber. Alternatives included using the 406 mm caliber (which would have taken much longer for Germany to develop) or increasing the number of 380 mm guns to twelve (placed in four triple-gun turrets).

Pommern was first released for sale on 4 August 2020. It's available for 228,000 Coal in the Armory.

Player Opinion

Pros:

Good main battery traverse speed and range
Potentially devastating broadside of twelve (12) main guns
Excellent hull and deck armor
Reasonably fast for such a large battleship with a base speed of 31 knots
Heavy secondary armament with good base range and penetration
Strong short-ranged AA suite
Equipped with one quadruple torpedo launcher per side of the ship
Has access to the Hydroacoustic Search  consumable

Cons:

Lengthy base main battery reload time of 33 seconds
Small gun caliber for a Tier 9 battleship, and fairly low AP penetration
Poor main battery HE damage output and fire chance
Very poor main battery accuracy - high dispersion and low sigma
Poor main battery firing angles
Massive and sluggish, with a large turn radius and slow rudder shift
Enormous superstructure can be easily damaged and set on fire
Poor concealment
No access to Spotting Aircraft  or Catapult Fighter
