Prinz Eitel Friedrich — German special premium Tier VI battleship.
A Mackensen-class battlecruiser laid down during World War I. She had a powerful vertical armor, which was characteristic of German battleships of this period. Her main battery consisted of eight 350 mm guns mounted in four turrets.

Player Opinion
Performance
Prinz Eitel Friedrich, unlike other German battleships, is primarily a medium-range fighter with limited brawling capabilities, as a result of her good secondary armament, poor main guns, and non-turtleback but durable armor.
Where Prinz Eitel Friedrich really shines is with her anti-aircraft armament. Her long-range aura consists of eight twin 105 mm dual purpose mounts, giving her the same long-range DPS as higher-tier ships like Bismarck and Friedrich der Große (Her continuous AA damage is actually higher than said ships!).
Prinz Eitel Friedrich is also quite fast for ships of her tier, allowing her to close to within her ideal engagement range quite quickly. Her good armor and AA will keep her safe while doing so, and captains should have no problems handling her in a brawl. However, brawling should be kept to a minimum due to her non-existent turtleback.
Captains used to the play style of German battleships should be right at home when sailing Prinz Eitel Friedrich.
Pros:
- Faster than average main battery reload speed
- Reasonably accurate for German battleship standards
- Heavy secondary armament with a decent base range
- High top speed of 28 knots
- Well armored for a battlecruiser
- Good long range (flak) AA aura
Cons:
- Poor firepower - bad AP penetration and low HE damage and fire chance
- Poor main battery traverse speed
- Lacks a turtleback and can take devastating citadel hits when poorly positioned
- Cannot go for an effective secondary build due to tier
- Weak mid and short range AA auras
- No access to aircraft or utility consumables
- Poor concealment

Optimal Configuration
Upgrades
Prinz Eitel Friedrich Has the standard upgrade slots and choices for a tier VI battleship. A standard battleship build will work well for her, but she also has strong anti-aircraft power for tier 6, so if one enjoys ruining a carrier's day, mounting anti-aircraft modules can also work.
The recommended upgrades for Prinz Eitel Friedrich are as follows:
- Slot 1: Main Armaments Modification 1
- Slot 2: Damage Control System Modification 1
- Slot 3: Aiming Systems Modification 1
- Slot 4: Damage Control System Modification 2
Commander Skills
Key skills for specialised Prinz Eitel Friedrich commanders include Priority Target and Superintendent. Other commander skills are variable, however it should be noted that many AA skills are not as effective as they once were and that Prinz Eitel Friedrich, due to its location in Tier 6, does not gain full benefits from the Manual Fire Control for Secondary Armament skill.

Consumables
Prinz Eitel Friedrich can equip the following consumables:
- Slot 1: Damage Control Party
- Slot 2: Repair Party
Camouflage
As a premium ship, Prinz Eitel Friedrich comes included with Type 10 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, reduces her repair costs, and increases the amount of experience she earns.
Signals
Prinz Eitel Friedrich captains should mount standard signal flags to improve the ship's performance in battle. Sierra Mike () flags are recommended to increase the ship's top speed. India Delta (), India Yankee () and November Foxtrot () flags should be mounted to improve the ship's survivability. November Echo Setteseven () flags can also be mounted to increase the ship's anti-aircraft damage. Lastly, economic and special signal flags can be mounted to increase the ship's economic gains per battle.
