Raimondo Montecuccoli — Italian Tier V cruiser.

After the construction of four Giussano-class cruisers, the Italian Navy ordered two more with an improved design. Under the 1930–1931 program, two Condottieri C-class cruisers were built with significantly improved armor while maintaining their speed. Raimondo Montecuccoli, which entered service in 1935, participated in the Spanish Civil War, as well as in raids to the Far East and the Pacific Ocean. During World War II, she served in the Battle of Punta Stilo, conducted minelaying and escort operations, and fought in the Battle of Pantelleria.

      History

      Raimondo Montecuccoli was a Condottieri-class light cruiser serving with the Italian Regia Marina during World War II. She survived the war and served in the post-war Marina Militare until 1964.

      • Twin Mod. 1926 or 1929 guns , 152/53 mm with around 24 km range. They were mounted in a single cradle, very close (too much to achieve a good precision due to the reciprocal influence), the breeches, the fire controls, the mechanisms are visible. The guns shield are around 40 mm with a peak around the guns of 60.
