Skåne — European Tier VII destroyer.

The design of a destroyer armed with dual-purpose main battery artillery. The ship served as a prototype for the Swedish Öland-class destroyers that were commissioned after World War II.

Player Opinion

Performance

Skåne is a strong EU DD, especially comparing to previous tiers. Four fast firing guns(two twin turrets), great AA to compensate for having no smoke and the same great maneuverability! This ship performs much like the previous tiers' line - Stay hide, lob your torp's in from up to 12km and try for the surprise openers with your the high RoF, catching opponents off guard. This ship feels sleek but it's still a EU destroyer and suffers harshly from Low torpedo alpha, which can be tough at times, but, the great range and top speed of 80 knots(when setup) will help to offset. Skåne feels like a hard earned improvement over the previous tiers' while still being very at home with the ships of the tech tree-line thus far.

Pros:

Good maneuverability
Fast 80kn Torp speed, once upgraded and using Mod slot 3; TTM1.
Fast firing guns
Great AA and very usable concealment.
quick reloading Torpedoes

Cons:

Torpedoes suffer from previous ships low torpedo alpha - Even a full 6 torp salvo may not destroy a target.
No smoke
Little disengage if you get caught out of position.

Research

Hull(B): 14% increase to Health (+0900pts); gain a whopping 25% continuous damage to Med range AA(+18dmg/s) while losing ~7dmg/s across both of the Short and Long AA ranges. Upgrading the Hull also reduces rudder-shift time by 1 sec.
Torpedoes: Torpedoes gain +2km range to the already comfortable 10km as well as an impressive +12 knots to speed. This also increases Torpedo detectability +0.2km - pretty standard.
Gun Fire Control System:Last for the 10% increase to range.
