+One of ''{{#var:ship_name}}'''s key strength continues to be her main armament at medium to close ranges, where she can accurately nail targets that were overconfident and opened up at the wrong time. A fast recharging Damage Control Party ensures that she can withstand Damage over Time for a short period, however the finite charges can betray the captain and leave ''{{#var:ship_name}}'' helpless towards Damage over Time. For that reason alone is the usage of Superintendent and Premium Damage Control Party a fundamental part of every successful ''{{#var:ship_name}}''-build. Keeping an angle with ''{{#var:ship_name}}'' is essential, as her citadel extens well above the waterline.
 +
+What this means is that the captain must choose the correct location and time to exercise a push, which then gets executed in full strength. Assisstance through teammates will help overwhelming enemy forces, but a careful eye must be kept on the surroundings to prevent shots to hit the unangled side of ''{{#var:ship_name}}''.

Player Opinion

Performance

Being the last step before the Tier X ship Kreml, ' continues the gameplay of Vladivostok and will feel comfortable in the hands of those that also enjoyed the Tier VIII.

One of s key strength continues to be her main armament at medium to close ranges, where she can accurately nail targets that were overconfident and opened up at the wrong time. A fast recharging Damage Control Party ensures that she can withstand Damage over Time for a short period, however the finite charges can betray the captain and leave ' helpless towards Damage over Time. For that reason alone is the usage of Superintendent and Premium Damage Control Party a fundamental part of every successful '-build. Keeping an angle with ' is essential, as her citadel extens well above the waterline.

What this means is that the captain must choose the correct location and time to exercise a push, which then gets executed in full strength. Assisstance through teammates will help overwhelming enemy forces, but a careful eye must be kept on the surroundings to prevent shots to hit the unangled side of '.

Pros:

  • Shares the good medium to close range accuracy of her predecessors
  • Main guns hit hard, when they hit
  • Continues the trend of strong internal bow armor, making citadels from Yamato and Musashi through the bow very difficult
  • 60mm upper deck allows ' to shatter almost all cruiser HE shells
  • Rapid cooldown Damage Control Party
  • Large hitpool

Cons:

  • elevated citadel which is prone to hits when ' is not properly angled
  • Anti-Air-Defense does not get noticably improved over Vladivostok, making her very prone to airstrikes
  • Large turning circle
  • Limited charges of her Damage Control Party
  • At longer ranges, ' struggles to land meaningful hits
  • Short ranged for a Tier IX battleship
  • Main battery turrets get knocked out often
  • Relatively slow for a Tier IX battleship

Research

Availability of researchable upgrades for ' is as follows:

  • Hull: Upgrade to Hull (B) for 64,000 XP.
  • Gun Fire Control System: Upgrade to the improved GFCS for 36,000 XP.
Upgrading the Gun Fire Control System should take priority, as s main battery range is very lackluster. After that follow up with the B-Hull

Optimal Configuration

Upgrades

The recommended upgrades for ' are as follows:

  • Slot 1: Main Armaments Modification 1
  • Slot 2: Damage Control System Modification 1
  • Slot 3: Aiming Systems Modification 1
  • Slot 4: Damage Control System Modification 2
  • Slot 5: Concealment System Modification 1
  • Slot 6: Main Battery Modification 3

Commander Skills

Key skills for ' commanders are all skills that improve the survivability, with a special mention for Superintendent as it adds an additional charge of the Damage Control Party.

Consumables

' can equip the following consumables:

Camouflage

As a Tech Tree ship, ' does not come with a permanent camoflage out of the box. However, if the player so wishes she can be equipped with a Type 19 camoflage that reduces her concealment, increases the dispersion of incoming shells, increases the XP gain by 100% and reduces the service cost by -20%.
