Vittorio Veneto — Italian Tier VIII battleship.
The design of battleships that met the requirements of the Washington Naval Treaty began in the late 1920s and early 1930s in Italy. The resulting project was a ship with a displacement of 35,000 tons and armament of nine 381 mm guns. Vittorio Veneto was laid down in 1934 and entered service six years later. During World War II, the battleship participated in operations in the Mediterranean Sea, in the Battles of Cape Teulada and Cape Matapan, and intercepted Maltese convoys of the British fleet.

Player Opinion
Pros:
- Has access to Italian SAP.
- Has access to Exhaust Smoke Generator that allows the ship to remain undetected at full speed.
- High top speed of 30 knots, equivalent to Amagi.
- Good torpedo protection.
- Good AA defenses.
- Shells have fast flight times, making it easy to lead.
- Good side armor.
- Great turret angles; combined with good side armor allows to bounce enemy shells effectively.
Cons:
- Does not carry HE shells that other non-Italian battleships have.
- Long cool down time for Exhaust Smoke Generator .
- Longer reload than Francesco Caracciolo at 34s.
- Despite good armor protection, turning broadside will often result in citadels.
- Worse accuracy than her premium sister Roma.
- Like Roma, she also has poor gun range, but can use Spotting Aircraft to compensate.
- On the low end in terms of healthpool when compared to tier VIII counterparts.
